Currently, worldwide, biomedical researchers, private organizations, and the public are exploring molecular hydrogen therapy, which includes inhaling hydrogen gas and drinking hydrogen-infused water, for disease prevention and promoting overall health.
The definitions and standards established by IHSA will facilitate the progress of scientific research within academic and medical circles, offer direction to governmental bodies and educational establishments, and ensure consumer safety through certifications aligning with IHSA's recognized safety and performance criteria.

It is a non-profit scientific organization with a highly esteemed Advisory Panel consisting of professors, researchers, and other prominent academics. MHI is the foremost authority on the science of molecular hydrogen, and has four main objectives:
Investigate the molecular mechanisms and primary targets of molecular hydrogen and participate in clinical studies to determine its potential effects.
Collaborate with other universities, institutions, and research organizations.
